The Routine

‘The Routine’ was a video created as documentary form. I captured an evening atmosphere at a local market in Chiang Mai

where I spent my young life here. I demonstrated simple daily life of people in the market, especially when they stand still 

and pay respect to the national anthem. This was regarding as a daily ritual that all Thai people had to practice together.

According to Thai culture, every Thai citizen must stand up when the national anthem was played to proudly salute to the

country. Therefore, at 8 am and 6 pm, if we are in official places or public places, we will hear the national anthem through a

radio program broadcasted in those places as the regular routine.
